SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM
Cleighton Clark – Managing Director
Cleighton founded Habitat Development Group Pty Ltd in 2005 to focus on high quality, affordable residential development. In 2009, he co-founded Habitat Construction Group and Habitat Property Management which are Habitat’s construction and property management divisions. Prior to establishing Habitat, Cleighton completed. E-Commerce at the University of Queensland and has been working in the property industry since 1998. Cleighton is responsible for the overall strategy of the group, including overseeing finance and acquisitions.
Steele Clark – Director
Steele Clark joined the group as a Development Manager in 2006 having worked abroad for two years in construction. Prior to leaving Australia, he was in carpentry for 4 years. Steele became a Director of Habitat Development Group in 2007 and co-founded Habitat Construction Group Pty Ltd. Steele is responsible for all Habitat’s projects from a sales and marketing perspective including liaising with real estate agents, project marketers, referrers and Habitat’s own database of clients and investors. Steele is also a fully licensed Real Estate Agent.
Cade Elliott - Construction Manager
Cade joined Habitat in 2015 to oversee the construction group’s continued expansion. Cade has over 16 years’ experience in the construction industry. He completed his carpentry apprenticeship in 2002 and then completed a Bachelor of Construction Management and Bachelor of Business. He has experience in Estimation, Contracts Administration and Project Management on residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, health and education projects. Cade oversees Habitat’s construction division and holds an Open Builder’s License.
Carmen Woollard - Chief Financial Officer
Carmen joined Habitat in 2015. Carmen holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years experience in corporate accounting with one of Australia’s largest contractors. Carmen oversees all the financial and accounting functions for the Group.
Michael Schenk - Sales Director
Michael joined the group in 2018 as Sales and Marketing Manager. Having worked in the property industry for over 10 years, Michael commenced his career in residential real estate sales in West End. From there, Michael quickly developed a passion for the marketing of development projects which saw him go on to work for some of the most well-known digital & property branding agencies in the country. Working closely with the Directors, Michael is responsible for the sales and marketing function of all of Habitat’s projects.
Ashley Halsey - General Manager, Property Management
Ashley joined Habitat in 2013 with 8 years experience in Property Management and now heads up Habitat’s Property Management Arm. Ashley is responsible for all Habitat’s projects from a property management perspective including helping clients maximise their returns whilst ensuring a hassle and worry-free investment. Ashley also oversees and manages Habitat’s own property portfolio. Ashley is a licensed real estate agent.
