The 2021 HIA-Colorbond Steel Housing 100 is out, and Habitat Development Group has ranked 11th nationwide for largest multi-unit starts in 2020-21.
This is a mammoth effort considering the industry wide challenges faced over the past 12 months.
Projects to break ground over the past 12 months include Market Lane, the first residential complex in the new Maroochydore CBD and Parkwoods Apartments, the final piece of Habitat’s Development Group’s Sippy Downs master planned community.

Reflecting on the current state of the market, Habitat Development Group’s Managing Director, Cleighton Clark affirmed that “Managing supply chains is the key challenge at the moment. That said, sales volumes are very healthy at the moment. We’ve been building on the Sunshine Coast for the past 16 years and this is the most buoyant market we’ve ever seen.”
“We have an exciting future ahead with a number of projects in the pipeline and under construction, with a total value in excess of $400 million with further acquisitions planned.”
